About Simply Searching

Simply Searching is the result of the hard work and commitment by a small dedicated team.

We like to think of ourselves as a company with charitable aims and a big heart who want to make a difference in people's lives.

We first had the idea midway through 2007. We spoke to people of all ages and from all walks of life. They had interests in sports and hobbies yet couldn't easily find facilities or people to participate with.

There were also small clubs and groups who wanted to recruit new members but didn't have the platform to promote themselves.

We also spoke to Central Government and identified that our ideas run parallel with initiatives such as Active4Life and Change4Life to encourage the British public to be more active and healthy.

From the outset we wanted the service to be free. So that organisers could sign-up and promote their facilities and events. So that the public had a simple service to find out what is going on around them to get them participating and involved.

We want to ensure there are no exceptions or exclusions, everyone should be able to find what they want to do, whether a sport, activity, special interest or tourist attraction.

People only pay for optional features if they wish to use them. Such as being notified by email when there is a country fayre with 10 miles of their location or looking for an activity partner. And with prices from just £1.99, its a fair price for a comprehensive service and helps us cover our costs.

Simply Searching is also committed to helping good causes which is why we support the YMCA, Sportability, TennisforFree and other deserving charities. The public can be rest assured and warmhearted to know that some of their money gets re-invested back into these good causes and our facilitating arm that is The Collaborative Project.

'Whatever the age, whatever the interest or physical ability, bringing like-minded people together.'
