Simply Searching, the national sport, activity, hobby and special interest search engine is finally here!
Over two years of development has finally culminated in the release of Simply Searching to the nation - it's a real triumph.
The press release went out yesterday to the media, including TV, radio and newspapers and today we've been posting updates on Twitter and Facebook to let people know that we're here at last.
In addition, we're running our tennis competition themed around Wimbledon and in support of the Tennis for Free charity.
Tennis for Free do some truly great work yet many will have not heard of them. Hopefully our competition will give them a little bit of extra exposure whilst at the same time allowing someone to win a great tennis racquet, kindly supplied by Dunlop.
Although we have many thousands of clubs, groups and centres already using the service, it will take time for more to add facilities and events. Bear with us during this time as more and more content is added every day.
It seems so long ago that at the end of 2008 we were talking to Borough Councils and facilities across the country showing them our proof of concept work for Simply Searching. Its evolved a great deal in that time and we thank everyone for their feedback and help in developing what we hope will be a well respected service that literally can help change people's lives.
It is certainly a very exciting time.
